Changelog ionCube, Kernel Upgrade, and Tweaks

The following changes were made during the planned maintenance:

Installed ionCube Globablly
Upgraded Kernel Version
Tweaks to php.ini and cPanel backend

We installed ionCube globablly to allow better functionality for our members using coded scripts. Kernel version was upgraded for functionality and security. Some small tweaks were made to php.ini to provide more functionality of PHP.

cPanel’s backend was also redone to use less memory and improve logging performance thus increasing stability while decreasing load of the server. We are proud to announce the addition of RoundCube to the list of scripts available on Webmail. phpMyAdmin was also upgraded.

Another functionality that was added is the ability to now access cPanel on port 80 (default Apache port) instead of the regular cPanel ports. This is useful for our members who are behind commercial / university networks who block all but the most common ports. Access to port 80 is done via a subdomains at webmail.yourdomain.ext for webmail, cpanel.yourdomain.ext for cPanel, and whm.yourdomain.ext for WHM (Reseller Web Hosting Plans Only).

If there are any issues with this previous planned maintenance please do not hesitate to open a support ticket.
