Leech Protect
Password Protect

I just noticed that they were all gone.

Why are they not on my cpanel?

said that those were beta programs and that he didn't want to risk security holes, so he disabled them.

If true, they're still being used to entice potential customers on the main page under "ALL PLANS INCLUDE:". They should be disabled if the plans really don't include them.

BTW, I never heard anything about those features being in "beta". o_O

They had a gray background while the others did not, so that might be one way to tell. But they were new and probably has more info on these things than we do, so we just have to go by what he says. >.<

Currently two of three servers still have those features. Unique (Server One) is currently the only server without them. Once servers have gone through the update plan, those features will no longer be available.

When Mahal (Server Two) has gone through the update plan, I will remove those features listed in the Â?All Plans IncludeÂ? list.

There are a few reasons why they are not being added with new servers, they eventually might make a return.

wait, so we can't password protect directories? My last host had that, and they were definately not in beta... what gives?

No password protect should be there, is your cPanel missing this?

I do not have an account (yet). I just thought that is what you ment by it being in beta... if not, then what 'password protect' is he talking about?

Unsure, since everyone uses the same cPanel, and I'm currently seeing that feature enabled.

Password protect allows you to set usernames and passwords to certain directories. As far as I know, this is a standard cPanel feature. It should be on the second row on the right.
