FTP accounts

Hey, I have setup a few folks with FTP accounts and for usernames I keep getting crap like blah@kinsemc.com and I was wondering if there is a way to drop the @domain?

No you cant git rid of the @domain.com cause thats what tells the server who you are im sure it also makes it better to were you dont got to pick and choose a user name cause someone else has allready taken it

Yes, you can't drop the @domain part because it is a shared server. So if you drop the @domain part, then that means there can only be one john, one mike, one danny, etc. Though with the additions of @domain, everyone can have a john@domain account.

Make sure you control the new account's permissions. You probably don't want your friends or co-workers running around in the FTP world change the CMOD and deleting files!
