how many connections can the mysql database recieve?

note to BihiraJonathan: yes, I am the guy that has questiond this company on gamefaqs. but I am considering using bihira now.

The current limit is 500.

does that apply to my database of all the databases on the server I wil be placed on.

It's global, that number is also pretty standard throught most webhosting companies.

my current host has 20/sec before it says to many connections. there was NO way I had to people on at the time when I got the buisy error. and how many connection are normaly on at a time?

My busiest server gets about 23 connections per second, while the server I'm currently placing people one gets about 17 connections per second. So your current host either has a lower number in thier global file, or too many people on thier server.

Web server hosts 1756 websites

is that the company or the server I am on?

Currently all new applications are bieng put on server three. Server two is full at this moment.

It depends on how they have thier infrastructure setup. Most likely it's company.
